happy mother's day

Happy Mother's Day. Cake all round.

We stencilled the top of this cream-crammed Victoria sponge with our Alphabet.

'Mum' is just a great word, isn't it? Especially when rendered in materials like these.

picture perfect

One more idea for a last-minute Mother's Day gift.

Cut a simple frame out of a cardboard box and decorate with our Alphabet for maximum mum-impressing effect. Dharma made this one and we're loving the snappy ombre effect on the letters.

Then use it to frame a painting or drawing of your choice. Ida drew this picture of Sophie.

Perfect.

bookmarks

Dharma made these delightful bookmarks for her own personal use but we think they are so clever and lovely that they'd be a perfect Mother's Day gift.

Simply paint or decorate a Papercharm of your choice, and then attach some lengths of wool, string or ribbon to place between the pages of a book.

A perfect page holder.

mother's day message

With Mother's Day just around the corner, we used our Alphabet to make a cool card bearing a heartfelt message.

First we painted some letters...

... and then splattered them (and everything in the vicinity) with white paint.

Pretty cool effect.

Then it was just a matter of sticking them to a folded piece of card...

 ... and writing inside.

Heartfelt AND homemade always a winning combo where mums are concerned. What are you going to say to your mum on Mother's Day?

edible alphabet

No visit to Ikea is complete without purchasing a packet of their delightfully named Keks biscuits.

If only the ecopapershapes Alphabet tasted this good.

On the other hand, you can't do this with Keks:
